Bisnis.com, JAKARTA -- A subsidiary of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk.PT KHI Pipe Industries, which produces pipes, sent piles for the RDMP Sulfur Jetty Development Project owned by PT Pertamina in Balikpapan.PT KHI president director Jati Santiono stated that the pipe sent was ASTM A252 specification pipe with dimensions of 1016 mm x 19 mm and a length of 55 meters, each of which will use a layer of 3LPE (three layer polyethylene). The delivery of the first phase of the pipeline was completed last week, currently in preparation for the second phase of delivery.“The total amount shipped is 3,600 tons with a pipe length of 55 meters each. This 55 meter long pipe is sent directly from the KHI factory to the port in a condition that the length of the pipe is intact. This pipe is longer than the one we have sent before, which is 53 meters long," said Jati in an official statement compiled on Thursday (26/9/2019).The long pipe delivery also answers the business challenges as a reliable steel pipe manufacturer where direct pipe delivery can make time and cost efficiency. While still prioritizing safety, in this delivery process KHI uses trailers and boogies.Delivering long pipelines is also one of the company's competitive advantages, considering KHI's location close to the port.Check other News and Articles on Google NewsCheck out other news about the topic of this article, here:Join and get analysis of economic and business information via your email.
